Signature Resizer: Resize Scanned Signatures for Online Applications

Welcome to the Signature Resizer Tool on Download In PDF. Most recruiters, recruitment boards (like UPSC, SSC, RRB, banking), and educational registration portals (JEE, NEET, JAM) enforce strict byte limits for uploaded documents. Signatures, in particular, are usually capped at a maximum of 10KB or 20KB.

How to Compress a Signature Image Without Blurring

Shrinking a signature to under 20KB can often render the handwriting illegible due to heavy pixelation. Our Signature Resizer uses Lanczos canvas interpolation alongside a smart iterative compression script. The engine adjusts quality increments progressively to output the clearest possible line contrast while staying safely beneath the specified file limit.

100% Client-Side Privacy

A signature represents your official identity. Uploading scanned signatures to random websites is a severe risk for identity theft. That is why our tools work **100% inside your web browser**. Your signature file is never transmitted to any web serverโ€”it is processed locally on your processor, keeping your personal data completely private.

Signature Resizing FAQs

What is the recommended size for UPSC and SSC signatures?
UPSC requires the signature to be in JPG format, with dimensions between 350x350 pixels and 1000x1000 pixels, and file size between 20KB and 300KB. SSC requires dimensions of 4.0 cm width x 2.0 cm height (approx 472x236 px) and a file size between 10KB and 20KB.
Should I use JPG or PNG for signatures?
While PNG preserves a transparent background, government portals almost universally reject PNGs. We recommend using JPG/JPEG format, which is highly compatible and compresses easily down to 10KB.
How do I crop the background from my signature?
Ensure you write your signature on clean white paper with black/blue ink. Crop the edges close to the ink before uploading. You can set the width and height directly in our tool to scale it correctly.
